Follow these steps to perfectly size your images:

  1. Upload the File: Start by dragging and dropping your image into the workspace. The tool will display the original, current dimensions (width x height) in pixels so you have a baseline to work from.
  2. Enter New Dimensions: Locate the width and height input fields in the sidebar menu. Enter your desired target size in pixels. If you are preparing images for a specific platform, look up their recommended dimensions (e.g., 1200x630 for Open Graph images).
  3. Manage Aspect Ratio: This is the most important step! Look for a checkbox or link icon labeled 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' or 'Lock Proportions.' If this is checked, changing the width will automatically calculate the correct height, preventing the image from looking stretched, squished, or distorted. Uncheck this only if you intentionally want to distort the image to fit a specific box.
  4. Apply the Resize: Click the 'Resize Image' button. The tool will process the image, scaling the pixels intelligently to the new dimensions you specified.
